Installing Firmware
Your Trezor device ships without firmware installed. To begin setup, connect it to your computer or compatible mobile device and visit suite.trezor.io to download or access the Trezor Suite app.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest firmware safely. This process ensures your device is up to date with the newest security measures and app features.
Wallet Setup and Backup
Once firmware is installed, you can create a new wallet or recover an existing one using a recovery seed. Generating a new wallet will give you a unique recovery seed phrase, which you should write down securely offline.
This seed phrase is the only way to restore your wallet and funds if your Trezor is lost or damaged. Never store this phrase digitally or share it with anyone.
Setting up a Strong PIN
Trezor requires you to set a PIN for device access. Use the randomized PIN matrix displayed on your Trezor screen to enter your code via your computer or phone. This approach protects against keyloggers and physical observation attacks.
Remember your PIN; you will need it every time to use your wallet securely.
Activating Cryptocurrencies
Trezor supports multiple cryptocurrencies. Choose which coins to display and manage within the Trezor Suite. You can always add or remove cryptocurrencies later in settings.
